Perth Direct Factory Outlet Integrated Extra Low Voltage System

This project was a joint venture between Vicinity and Perth airport and provides approximately 140 retail outlets adjacent Perth airport. This Perth DFO project was one of the first of its kind for WA and incorporated a complex integration of multiple building systems as well as a comprehensive monitoring and alarming head end user interface.

Operational Intelligence provided an integrated Extra Low Voltage System (ELV) to combine 12 ELV sub systems to one central software platform using Tridium Niagara 4. This involved the integration of 12 subsystems to one central data lake incorporating combined graphics, dashboards and workflows. Integrating all the information into one solution transformed the building data into actionable intelligence to reduce downtime and increase efficiencies, allowing the outlet to provide enhance indoor environment conditions for their workers and shoppers.

The key challenge was delivering this job in a tight timeframe as well as deploy a high spec N+1 server, so our nationwide team collaborated from east and west with the Operational Intelligence team in Sydney flying over to support the engineers in Perth and assisting with the client workshopping at Vicinity’s office.
